Jaqi - 2004

We were living together in Sydney at the time but I had to travel for work and was away for weeks at a time. While I was away shearing, SafFire was working in Paddington as a telephonist and spent most nights home alone. This would lead to an opportunity for SafFire to be "out on the town" with another woman, a co-worker. 

SafFire and Carre had worked together for almost a year but had never had much chance to talk. Shifts and lunch times rarely coincided making the annual Christmas party the ideal opportunity for an open conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.

As the party was drawing to a close, Carre asked SafFire if she would like to come dancing at another club with her.
